This is a substantial desk top box for papers and document storage.

Made in the 19th century from solid oak, it has a handsome facade that includes two faux drawers.

In its original condition, you can see from the photo that the interior has been untouched since its manufacture. Still with the duck egg blue paper lining - it is quite amazing so much of it remains.

You will also note there is a horizontal crack in the top. This could easily be repaired, but as it is an antique and over 150 years old, it seems to make sense to leave it as is.

A really striking piece that raises the bar when it comes to modern day office storage.
