This is an egg cruet set designed by Christopher Dresser for Hukin and Heath.

The set was made in c. 1880 and is very rare.

Proudly offered to you in absolutely wonderful condition, the set is almost like new - just some minor wear to the base in two places and under the cups as to be expected (refer photos).

Regardless of this blemish, the set needs to be admired for its provenance and place in history.

Christopher Dresser was an extraordinary designer with vision years ahead of his time. Through his career, he chose his collaborators carefully. The first-class silversmiths; Hukin and Heath were one of these carefully chosen partners. Throughout their relationship they created a few but forever remembered designs and pieces.

This egg cruet set is one of those designs.

A special piece that would no doubt be a magnificent addition to a collection.
