This large jardiniere shows all the qualities of fine Art Nouveau design.

It is elegantly crafted with the bulbous bowl held aloft by four rams head that splay out to four hoofed legs. The frosted glass bowl has been created to sit perfectly either as an exposed bowl (inverted) or as a covered centrepiece.

The piece has been hallmarked RR along with a fylfot symbol. At the time of manufacture. pre 1900, this ancient mark was one that symbolised 'a life conducive to well-being' and was meant to 'bring prosperity and good luck'.

There is some wear to the internal brass bowl (ref photos) but the remainder of the piece is wonderful condition within minimal wear that is only commensurate with brass of this age.

A impressive and rare find.
